Sending every message by every channel is expensive and annoying. Sending by email alone misses the customers who never read it. A journey gets the balance right: most customers respond to the first, cheapest message, and you only pay for the next step for those who don't.
Use the cheapest channel first, and only escalate when you need to
everymessage runs automated customer journeys that start with the lowest-cost channel, usually email, and follow up by SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, AI voice call or letter only when a customer hasn't opened, clicked or replied. Because every channel runs on one platform, each step knows what happened in the last one, and the journey stops as soon as the customer responds.
How it works
- Start the journey from the web portal, a file upload or your own systems through the Workflow API.
- Send the first message by email, with open and click tracking.
- Wait and check. If the customer hasn't opened or acted after the time you set, the journey moves on.
- Follow up on another channel, such as an SMS reminder, a WhatsApp message or an AI voice call.
- Finish with a letter if needed: a digital letter, then a printed and posted one, for customers who still haven't responded.
- See every step. Each record shows which messages were sent, which were opened and how the customer responded.

Frequently asked questions
How much can this save?
It depends on your customers, but email costs a fraction of SMS, and SMS a fraction of a posted letter. Moving to a digital-first approach cut one everymessage client’s posted mail to 10% of its previous volume.
What counts as "no response"?
You choose: for example, an email that hasn’t been opened within two days, a link that hasn’t been clicked, or a message with no reply.
Can we start journeys from our own software?
Yes. The Workflow API lets your systems submit customers to a journey and check what each one has received.
